Asian Chicken Broth Bowl
This delightful, flavorful broth bowl is the perfect way to use leftover chicken for a light lunch or dinner! It's quick, nutritious, and packed with aromatic spices.
Ingredients:
- 5 teaspoons Chicken Bone Broth (Homestyle Original or any flavor): Provides a savory, nutritious base.
- 2½ cups boiling water: For dissolving the broth powder.
- 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced: Adds protein and heartiness.
- 100 grams gluten-free noodles: A filling, gluten-free addition.
- ¼ teaspoon sesame oil: Adds a subtle, nutty aroma.
- 2 teaspoons tamari: For a mild, soy-like flavor.
- 1 star anise: Adds a warm, licorice-like note.
- 1 cinnamon stick: Infuses a hint of sweetness.
- 1–2 cm piece of ginger, finely grated: A spicy kick that complements the broth.
- Asian greens: For a pop of color and crunch.
- 1 chili, de-seeded and finely sliced: Adds a mild heat (optional).
- Sesame seeds: For garnish and extra texture.
- Coriander leaves: Fresh garnish to brighten the flavors.
Instructions:
- Prepare the Broth: In a pot, combine Chicken Bone Broth powder with boiling water, sesame oil, tamari, star anise, cinnamon stick, and ginger. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook the Greens: Add the Asian greens to the pot and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly wilted but still crunchy.
- Prepare the Noodles: Cook the gluten-free noodles according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Assemble the Bowl: Place the noodles and sliced chicken in serving bowls. Pour the hot broth over them, and top with chili slices, sesame seeds, and fresh coriander leaves.
