Why Histamine Digest Works

You have a gene called DAO. This gene makes an enzyme that digests histamine.

Your DAO enzyme is found in various parts of your body in order to maintain healthy levels of histamine.

The problem is many people, and possibly you, do not have a DAO enzyme working very well for a variety of reasons.

This is why you may need Histamine Digest.

Histamine Digest provides you with the patented, lab tested and pure DAO enzyme called DAOgest®.

After you take a small capsule of Histamine Digest, the capsule breaks open and releases its contents of the DAO enzyme in your small intestine. The released DAO enzyme immediately starts digesting histamine for you so your body doesn’t have to.

Histamine Digest works on digesting histamine from these main sources of histamine:

  1. Food and drink
  2. Your gut’s immune system
  3. Your microbiome

By using Histamine Digest, you’ll once again support healthy levels of the DAO enzyme. By doing so, you may notice fewer symptoms of histamine intolerance!

    Dr. Lynch's Tips

    Important Note:

Histamine Digestis very effective for providing the DAO enzyme immediately to support your digestive system.

Histamine Digest is known as a palliative supplement. It helps you feel great but it doesn't solve the underlying problem.

Ultimately, you want your body’s DAO enzyme to function well on its own. It takes time to figure out how to heal your gut, restore your microbiome and balance your immune system. Work with a naturopathic physician or integrative health professional to help you work through these areas.

It’s possible to experience relief now. Use Histamine Digest so you can immediately enjoy feeling healthy, instead of struggling, when consuming foods or drinks high in histamine.

Over time, as you work on healing your gut, restoring your healthy microbiome and balancing your immune system, you’ll likely need less Histamine Digest to support healthy histamine metabolism.

Change in bowel frequency may occur from using Histamine Digest.

High amounts of histamine in the gut are associated with loose stools or diarrhea. Low amounts of histamine are associated with constipation. Since Histamine Digest supports healthy histamine levels, if one takes too much, it may contribute to harder to pass stools.

If stools become harder to pass, only use Histamine Digest when eating foods or drinks with histamine.

If you continue having harder to pass stools, then stop using Histamine Digest and consume a histamine-containing drink like kombucha. If you now can pass stools normally again, then you know you may have taken too much Histamine Digest. Adjust your use as needed.

Note that your use of Histamine Digest will reduce as you restore a healthy gut lining and a healthy gut microbiome.

This is why it’s highly recommended to use ProBiota HistaminX each evening after dinner. Probiota HistaminX supports a healthy gut microbiome.

If you believe that you are experiencing any adverse reactions, please see your healthcare professional immediately and discontinue use. Each individual may react differently to any product or supplement. We always recommend that you consult with your healthcare professional prior to considering the use of this or any supplement, especially when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Histamine Digest is NOT EFFECTIVE for symptoms of immune-related food allergies, such as peanuts, shellfish, etc., or for gluten intolerance due to sensitivity or celiac disease. DAO is not absorbed and does not have systemic activity. Histamine Digest does not manage or address antibody-related or IgE-related food allergies.

Histamine Digest contains an ingredient derived from porcine (pig). Avoid if allergic to pork or any other ingredient.

Children and pregnant or lactating women should consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use.

Who is Histamine Digest intended for?

Histamine Digest is intended for those who experience sensitivity to histamine due to intake of excess histamine from food and drink.

Important: Histamine Digest is NOT for those with symptoms of immune-related food allergies, such as peanuts, shellfish, etc., or for gluten intolerance due to sensitivity or celiac disease. I use Histamine Digest with success. Is Histamine Nutrients better?

They are different. One does not replace the other. In fact, they both may be used in conjunction for additional support if needed.

Histamine Digest is designed to support healthy histamine levels from:

    • food and drink
    • microbiome
    • the gut
    • dirty histamine gene, DAO

Histamine Nutrients is designed to support healthy histamine levels from:

    • pets
    • trees, flowers and grasses
    • exercise
    • dirty histamine genes like HNMT, ALDH, MAOA, NAT2

Histamine Digest caused me to have heartburn. Why?

Heartburn may be experienced if histamine levels are not balanced. Too low, or too high histamine may contribute to heartburn.

Make sure you're taking Histamine Digest with foods or drinks that contain sufficient histamine. If you're taking it with food or drinks that do not have enough histamine, you may lower your stomach acid to the point of experiencing heartburn.

Consider a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in an ounce of water if heartburn occurs after taking Histamine Digest. If you feel better, this is an indicator that low histamine may have contributed to your symptoms.

Do not take Histamine Digest without food or drink, OR with low histamine foods or drinks, unless:

    • you know that your microbiome is producing histamine
    • you have inflammatory processes found in the digestive tract, specifically small or large intestines, which may contribute to high histamine levels.

Does Histamine Digest contain any corn, gluten or grains?

    Histamine Digest is gluten-free.

Histamine Digest does not contain grains. However, this formula contains ascorbyl palmitate ("Other Ingredient") which is derived in part from highly purified corn oil. Due to the processes used to manufacture the finished ingredients, the ascorbyl palmitate is free from corn proteins

Is Histamine Digest free from GMOs?

Testing verifies that Histamine Digest is free from GMO markers.
